"Down with the Communist Party!" Protests Erupt Outside Hotel Where Xi Jinping Is Staying During U.S. Visit

Eyewitness videos shared on social media show that large groups of protesters gathered outside the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, where Xi Jinping is staying, as well as along the route to the hotel. They displayed anti-Communist slogans and banners calling for democracy, chanting in unison, "Down with the Communist Party! Down with Xi Jinping!", which left onlookers stunned.

The Dajiyuan reported that Xi is staying at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel during this visit. It was noted that security around the hotel, where the Chinese delegation is lodged, has been significantly heightened.

The hotel area has been surrounded by tall black fences, and all personnel and vehicles entering and exiting must undergo security checks, with armed police present. Additionally, there are road closures in the surrounding streets.

To prevent conflicts, police have separated the protestors and the welcoming crowd into different blocks.

Eyewitnesses remarked that, compared to previous visits, the number of Chinese individuals organized to welcome Xi Jinping's visit to the U.S. has noticeably decreased, possibly due to recent actions by the U.S. government targeting Chinese Communist Party agents.

In contrast, the turnout of those who came specifically to protest was significant, with their chants of "Down with the Communist Party! Down with Xi Jinping!" echoing continuously.
